This blog is a collection of muses on
various topics. It tries to balance the juxtaposed, it probes at the cracks and
peripherals of culture. It also seeks to demystify terms like ‘’cultural
capital’’ and ‘’creative commerce’’. Would we dare to think of these terms as
mere buzzwords that crumble upon interrogation or are these the terms that city
hall should consider critical to their strategy as they approach the uncertain
future?
The blog will probably beg more questions
than it will answer. This blog is also interested in cities and what makes them
tick?
Right where tradition meets post modernism
is where you will find this blog.
We will analyze what creatives and end
users are making of public space, and what are they doing on the digital space?
And then there’s the other space, you know, the psychological space of man,
what is its proximity to marketing and advertising? So in that breath you might
come across some pieces on branding, which we love immensely.
We’re interested in emerging artistic
voices whilst also attentive to the fading ones of yesteryear. On that note, there’s
something peculiar of art coming from the emerging economies, what is it? We
will delve there too, come with us.
We might also transcend our reality, adrift
to dream state realm where we might engage in some armchair philosophy. And if
that happens, let it be, we are unashamedly dreamers; that’s how we got through
high school.
So, hold on tight as we scour and forage
the world for all things obvious and not, all things creative and alive. All
things within the spectrum of creativity and curiosity. Welcome to the Cultural & Creative
Commerce blog.
